Day
49 @ sea enroute to Melbourne
Today
was a sea day and it was busy. There
were plenty of lectures but we had class.
I had to make up some of what I missed being in two fashion shows back
to back days.
We
are learning quite a bit. Bill’s power
cord for his IPAD is not charging so Stan let us borrow his and when we get to
Melbourne we will hit the Apple store.
We
got news in our cabins that Crystal Cruises has been sold. The parent company was NYK of Tokyo now we
are owned by Genting Corp of Hong Kong.
How this affects us the cruisers
not sure but we will have to wait and see.
We
saw the captain in the morning in the Bistro and I told him I liked his driving
because this was the 3rd time we have come through the Tasman sea
and the only time it has been smooth. He
put his finger to his mouth and said SHH you haven’t heard my morning update
yet. His update was for a powerful storm
at night. We were invited to cocktails
in his quarter and I told him he better not be rockin and rollin. After our cocktails (I had my Grey Goose
Dirty Martini) we headed to dinner and then to the show. It was a great show after Bill headed to the
cigar lounge and I headed back to the cabin.
Around 2:30am I awoke with the ship rockin and rollin. Yes Becky you would have loved it. We were in the middle of the storm with winds
at 90 miles an hour. I got up to go to
the bathroom and was knocked back down on the bed. Figured I could wait till morning. It lasted till morning. We decded not to go up to the Lido for
breakfast but to go to the dining room.
It was still moving quite a bit so the dining room was crowdedl
Melbourne
