Day 1 flying to Miami dinner with Pat and Ray overnight at the Four Seasons Hotel

We were up quite early as we were scheduled for a 7 am pick up. After a tense 15 minutes and a couple of phone calls our Executive Van showed up fifteen minutes late.   Bill had moved all the bags outside and helped the driver load up as we were getting nervous about time. We did hit quite a bit of traffic but when we arrived at the airport the driver was able to pull up right in front of the Southwest curbside checkin.  The skycap came to the van took our paper work and then helped the driver unload all our bags. The good news we only had to pay for 4 of the 8 bags.  We then proceeded to security and we fly a lot I have never seen it like this.  There was NO line. We walked right up  we were at the gate at 8:30
We board at 9:40 we did sit on the runway fir 15 minutes but were soon airborne. It was a little bumpy but we arrived at 4:10pm. Luggage finally started to come out and I was holding my breath but before long all 8 bags were collected and we headed out to the car.n this time we were met by a huge luxury van.  There were 8 captain chairs in there,  some of the luggage had to go in the main compartment and we headed from Ft. Lauderdale to the Four Seasons hotel in Miami nth driver said anywhere from30 minutes to an hour since it was rush hour.  We were checked into the hotel and in our room by 5:20

We were greeted by a nice cheese and fruit board in our room which hit the spot since we hadn't eaten since breakfast.  We then met Pat and Ray in the lobby and went for a fabulous dinner at Toscano Divino. When we returned to the hotel we sat in the lobby outside the bar and ran into so many friends we meet last time we did a world cruise, it was a great reunion.  We headed up to see Pat and Ray's 2 bedroom, living room, dining room, kitchen, 2 1/2 bathrooms suite!  We then called it a night. Tomorrow is a busy day

In all our travels we have never had such a stress less  day except for the van being late it was a perfect  day.
Many more to come.
