Day
7 Curacao
We
are in Curacao Netherland Antilles. We
did not have a tour today and walked all around town. Pretty colored shops but the same shops as
all the other Caribbean Islands. We also
spent 4 hours at Starbucks upgrading Bill’s IPAD and downloading apps for the
college courses we are taking. We didn’t
return to the ship until after 3:30 so we went to the Trident Grill for a late
lunch. After lunch Bill headed to the
cigar lounge to smoke the Cuban cigar he bought and I rested for a while.
The
show tonight was early at 7:00pm and it was the mind reader Marc Paul. We have seen him twice before and both times
he picked Bill. We sat center this time,
as he did not want to be called up again.
He is really fascinating. After
the show was dinner and then they had a curiously Curacao . This is a show that they put together onboard
and the whole entertainment department participates. They had all kinds of drinks but as we had
just eaten we were not interested. The
show was good and went from 9:45 till midnight.
I did love this Island and to make it even better we had free internet
anywhere unfortunately I didn’t find out it worked on my veranda until we were
getting ready to sail or we could have face timed with the kids today.
Everything
has been just wonderful except for the ship’s internet. I don’t ever remember it being this
AWFUL. Slow is not even the correct
term. It has been very frustrating! While we were in port I did pick up some
highlighters for our class and we came back and did our homework. I am bound and determined to learn all I can
about all my Apple products so I don’t have to ask the kids! Hey first day I felt like a genius some of
these people didn’t even know how to turn it on or off!
I don't think we are going to have pictures today it has been almost an hour and it won't let me upload them. I am going to have to find out what the heck is going on. Those of you who have Facebook I will try to post a couple there maybe that will work.
Today is a sea day and tomorrow we will be Santa Marta, Columbia. Bill and I are doing Salsa dancing! this should be a hoot!
