Day 6 @ Sea

Today was a sea day with so much to do and such little time.  We started our day at a demonstration the crew put on in case of emergency.  Bill walked through the smoke filled dark hallways I was not allowed to go because of my asthma. Bill said it was something else trying to find your way in the smoke and dark with only crew with little flashlights.  We then proceeded to the life boats where they had everything displayed that is carried on board.  One look at the food rations and I am going down with the ship.  Definitely not up to Crystal standard!  We then proceeded to deck 12 and the pool where the crew were demonstrating the crew rafts.  It was extremely interesting.

Bill then went to a lecture on the Panama Canal me I went to the office and spend some time with Pat.  We decided we wanted to eat dinner together so after Pat went to Trivia and I went to speak with Leo about getting us a table for the 4 of us.  Leo is the Matre D and always smiling  and always gives me the same answer "No problem Mrs. Gilbert"

After lunch it was our first college course.  Stan Lejia teaches this course over the whole world cruise today was 2 hrs and for the first time I felt smart.  It was an extremely beginners course getting to know your IPAD.  I had the day before gone on land and updated Bill's IPAD to IOS 8.1.2 and Stan was ecstatic that I had done that.  Tomorrow we will go into Curaçao and download a few apps we will use over the course of class.  When we finish it will be like 3 college semesters and the course name is "Everything Apple". I should be able to use all my devices.

Before we knew it it was time to get ready for the Cruise Critic meet and mingle.   Cruise Critic is a website where you discuss cruises and I belong to the Crystal Cruises board so it is always nice to put a face with a name. Met many people it was well attended. We cleaned up and still had 40 minutes so we went back into the casino We each put $20 in a wheel of fortune and nothing I put another $20 and said we need something and I got a spin $150 so we ca shed it out and went up to the party early!

As I said we had dinner with Pat and Ray our dear friends from Missasuga Canada we left the cocktail part together and went to dinner.  Just as promised Leo had a great table s few away from where we usually sit.  We had our waiter Jorge and the waiter who usually services the table Fernando.  They all had fish I had pre-ordered the Kosher chicken.  I had that in 12 and it was fabulous.  I am not Jewish so I don't know what makes it Kosher but it is the best tasting chicken ever.  Pat helped me as there was so much. Chicken and spinach was my dinner.  Jacques our head waiter made crepes Suzette for dessert so I had a little of that.  We had such a great time we were talking and laughing and Leo came over and commented we were the happiest table on the ship. Okay what he was really saying was we were noisy! I commented that there were strangers at our table and he said he rented it for the night but we would split the rent 60/40.  Next sea day he and Bill will play backgammon. We took so long we didn't go to the show as it had started, so Bill headed to the cigar lounge and I worked on this blog. Internet is extremely slow so I am getting frustrated and

will post in port tomorrow!
