Day 2. Arrival at ship for World Cruise Gala
We had a smooth transition from the Four Seasons hotel to the Crystal Serenity.  We were picked up again in a huge luxury Van. Needed because we picked up a tote bag full of toiletries.  We were on board at 11:45

As you entered the terminal you were greeted with champagne. Checked in and onboard in less than 10 minutes. Pretty impressive as there are 608 WC on board.

We were greeted BY Name by Edie Rodriquez the president and COO of Crystal she is lovely.  She stood at the gangway from 11am and when I passed at 4 she was still there smiling in her high heels.  Captain Eiske also greeted each and everyone of us.

I was very impressed with the gala.  It started with cocktails in the beautifully decorated cove and atrium,  silver and crystal blue where the colors. Edie spoke and welcomed us again and then she and she and the Captain danced followed by the balloon drop silver white and blue balloons.
This was followed by dinner in either the main dining room, Prego or Silk Road.  We were given our seating card when we arrived.  We sat with two couples who never did a WC before and we delighted to be seated with friends from our 12 WC Sheldon and Nelda.  The dining roo. Never looked prettier. Silver flower charger plates.  Everyone was served at the same time.  Of course I screwed it up as the appetizer was snow crap and king crab and I as you know are deathly allergic to shell fish.

I am having trouble posting pictures. Will get help. Check out FB some are on there. After dinner there was more dancing to the Tommy Dorcy orchestra in the cove and a one time special performance by the Rat Pack appearing in Las Vegas. Wonderful show. In the meantime there was a Jazz performance in the Avenue.  So much to do so little time. I was not happy when they changed the gala to onboard but I admit that they hit this out of the ballpark.  So happy to be in our other home!!!
