Auckland Day 3

Today was our third and final day in this wonderful city.  We were docked in the downtown area with everything within walking distance to the ship which made it great.

Today we headed to the Sky Tower.  There is bungee jumping off the Tower but we saw another one near there where it goes up in the air and swirls.  I got a picture of it before we got on.

We actually walked all around again and went in and out of stores we went to the Sky Tower Hotel for wifi to update our ipads.  I was able to update  Bill’s but not mine.  I think since they both share the same ITunes account you can only do one at a time.  So when we get to Melbourne I will go to the Apple Store.

We stopped at a lovely tea shop/café for lunch and had homemade soup that was delicious.  We then headed back to the ship as there was a mandatory muster drill for all passengers at 5:00pm.  According to Maritime law we must go to the muster drill once a month so last segment we did not have to go.  We set sail today at 6:00pm and two tug boats were helping guide us out.  I didn’t get the picture but they were playing bumper boats and hitting each other.  Then one did donuts and sailed away and the other one came over and did donuts and sailed away.  As we got to the end of the port the Captain gave a final blast of our horn.  In between Louis Armstrong sang.  I loved our time in Auckland New Zealand and am happy to be back. Also glad we have 5 more ports in New Zealand and only 2 we have been to before.

 We also saw a few Z’s.  One was a 350 LeMans Sunset (Orange just like Bill’s) Unfortunately I was unable to get my camera fast enough.  Yesterday we saw a Skyline (not available in US) and I did get a picture of that it was parked and I did get a picture of another 350Z.  Bill has me taking all the Z pictures we see.

Tonight there is a headline entertainer at 8:30 and 10:30.  Since we have dinner at 8:30 I am not sure I am going to the 10:30 show.  I want to be fresh for our day and night in Tauranga!
