Day
31 and Ratonga Island, Cook Islands
Today
is Valentine’s Day we were suppose to
tender into Ratonga Island, We were here
in 2008 and like the Caribbean most of the South Pacific Island start to look
alike.
The
captain had warned us last night we might not be able to get in because they
were expecting 9 ft swells. A friend has
tried to get here this was their 5th trip and have not gotten in
yet. Because we could not go in they
quickly rearranged things and had all kinds of stuff going on. We did not have a computer class but we did
have knitting. I am doing much
better. I might actually finish this
project and start another,
Being Valentine’s Day they had the Chocolate Lover’s Tea in the Palm Court. Always a favorite. We had dinner in Prego with Lois and Mike and as we were leaving the restaurant Antonio (Matre D) gave each women a long stem red rose. I put it in my vase as I still have some flowers from Ecuador.
After
dinner I threw in my laundry (much better late at night as the old people are
all in here early in the am and asleep by 10pm!
We headed to the show. It was the
Singers ad Dancers and the Cruise Director Gary Hunter who is a
ventriloquist. It was all about love and
was a nice show. Tomorrow is another sea
day.
Since we did not get to Raotonga we are headed to Bay of Island in New Zealand. We will be crossing the International Dateline we were suppose to have Feb 17th and not the 18th but since we are going a different way we will now have Feb 18th and not the 17th. Confused welcome to the club!
